From Nobody to Somebody
The writing titled “From Nobody to Somebody”, written by Noah Fisher, talks about
running and himself winning state. His writing left me being able to relate to him!
After reading the short story about Noah Fisher I realized I can relate also! Running Cross Country is not at all easy. It takes lots of time, hardwork and dedication. Over all the days and many miles it is always worth it. Of course I was only an eight grader so I never made it as far as he did. My team and I did place 3rd at the Green Meadows Conference(GMC’s). Just like Noah, I had to train long and hard often to get there and we finally did! “Boom- the gun exploded and hundreds of runners hauled out of their starting boxes like a herd of deer…”. That's exactly what happened when the gun went off at GMC’s. Through the race, well not just that the whole season Noah always tried and push me since we were on the same team. On that very cold morning we had finished our race! I felt super happy and accomplished with what I have done. “Goosebumps formed up and down my body…”. That is how Noah felt after his cold morning race and that is exactly what you feel too! That season I had accomplished a lot I feel just like Noah had!
