Aladdin (2019)
I can relate to Amy Nashotah when she wrote about her review about Aladdin (2019) because I had a similar experience with the new Disney remake. When the trailer first came out I was skeptical about another remake of a classic movie and especially that Will Smith was playing the genie, because I thought: Who else can play the genie besides Robin Williams? But when I watched the movie I thought it was good and Will Smith did great in his own version of the genie, as well as Naomi Scott as Jasmine, and Mena Massoud as Aladdin. I agree with Amy Nashotah when she said,"[Naomi Scott's] pop-like voice did not seem to fit with the style of the original movie”, her voice is beautiful but it did not have the same magic to it as the original had. Although I do like the remake version of Arabian Nights, the new version sounds more cinematic and serves as a powerful opening. Thank you Amy for your review, I strongly agree with your opinions.
