Dead last
I found Alex Zhang’s article, “Dead last” very relatable because of the sport I play. I play basketball, and it’s a hard sport to play if you don’t put the work in. In his article, Alex would always be dead last in the swim meets and he wanted to change things. He began to practice at the neighborhood pool every weekend and when the next swim meet came around he ended up finishing in 5th place. This is proof that hard work always pays off in the end. Alex went from being dead last to 5th place all because he practiced every weekend. Alex can probably become an even better swimmer and all he has to do is continue to practice and in the end it’ll pay off.
