The Right For the Extreme MAG

By Anonymous

In the May issue there were many pro-war articlesthat I disagreed with, but Anthony N.'s struck a nerve.

How can thefreedom of speech be exploited? Just because you don't believe someone's viewdoesn't mean they shouldn't say it!

I recently saw a car sporting an"Osama bin Laden can kiss my American a--" bumper sticker. I do not seethis as any different from Bretton Barber wearing a shirt with a picture ofGeorge Bush with the caption "International Terrorist," but no one hascomplained about the owner of this bumper sticker. Anti-war statements areconsidered unpatriotic or, as Anthony N. put it, "extreme," but Ihave yet to hear any complaint about someone being blatantly pro-war!

Ifwe try to stop people from expressing their opinions, America will change from ademocracy to a dictatorship.
