"If I Had a Dollar" feedback
I felt that the poem, “If I Had a Dollar” written by Justin Hong, really describes the true meaning of having “rich” and unbreakable friendship. In the poem Justin describes the level of the friendship bond through a numerical value of money. This truly got through to me, for I myself have left lots of great friends behind, but this poem conveys the idea of overcoming that obstacle through love and compassion for each other as friends.
I’ve tried to write all types of poetry, but I’ve never had much luck in writing anything that truly conveys a feeling like this one. This poem gives the reader a sense of actual communication through words, an unrealistic feeling of love and care that makes the reader think about the things he or she truly appreciates in life. Weather its one person or cherishing life and its wondrous gifts.
