"My First Supper" Feedback
Brandon Hilker’s essay “My First Supper” takes me back to when I had a big supper with my friends and family and my families friends and it was a wonderful night and I got to meet new people just like Brandon did. Brandon’s story is about how he has always eating dinner in front of a TV, alone, with friends, in the rain, and also in the wild, but he has never had a big annual supper.
One day his girlfriend asked him if he can go to a big supper in her father’s church, he said “yes.” After he said “yes” he remembered that her father doesn’t like him. He also thought he would make a fool of himself.
So he went and he was a little scared and said in his head “Oh crap he is here” her father sat down into a chair and prayed and everyone talked and he had fun so he thought that wasn’t so bad and said “he won’t forget it and it won’t be his last.” I’m glad he had fun.
