Keeping Promises
I almost jumped out of my seat the whole time I was reading this spine chiller. Keeping Promises by Jenna D. is such an amazing horror story that I was way too excited to write a review on it. Kay Jacobs, our main character, has been observing a mysterious man who has been standing at the park across the street. She has never seen his face until one encounter, his face reminds her of her late abusive alcoholic husband. This triggers memories and we are taken into the mind of poor Kay. She remembers how safe she felt when he died because he made a promise to kill her, a promise that hasn’t been fulfilled.
I never thought that it could get any better than R.L. Stine and Stephen King but this came in as a close third. After reading this I was screaming because it was so well written and the details sucked me further into the story. I would recommend this to every person I know because it’s just so good and I’m glad I stumbled upon this. Three cheers for our author Jenna D.
