Happy Teacher's Day!
A few years ago, I rememer being called an 'author' by a friend. The word 'author' washed over me like a wave of realization. I felt akward being called an author just like that.
The thing was, that all these years back, I was not an author. I was merely a struggling 'writer' trying to get something published somewhere.
When I stumbled on Teen Ink, my life didn't change just like that. I remember burning the midnight oil over my laptop to see what kinds of articles were awarded with special badges.
In India, we celebrate teacher's day on the 5th of September. I know I'm six days late.
Today, I want to thank Teen Ink for converting a 'writer' into an 'author'. I want to thank Teen Ink for teaching me through resounding silence. I want to thank Teen Ink for being there.
