Battle Cry of the Unjustly Accused
The writing titled “Battle Cry of the Unjustly Accused” written by Celine L. was upsetting. Her writing about police and black African Americans left me feeling angry. I agree with this article. Black African Americans do get treated unfairly. I can relate to this article because of what my last name is known for. People always assume the worst in me and my siblings. This is one of my favorite selections of all time. it is written very well. When the selection says, “He did not apologize” is only proof that just because of someone’s skin color he/she does not get the respect deserved. Also, it says, “Detained he replied” which made it seem like they were animals or some sort of non-human creatures. This article shows how we are still dealing with segregation even though it is 2017.
