Is Marching Band a Sport?
The article titled “Is Marching Band a Sport?” written by Avery J., was full of lies. Her writing about band being a sport left me feeling in disagreement. I disagree about band being a sport. Yes, they work hard, but not as hard as sports like basketball, football, softball, and many other challenging sports. This same issue is going around our school. All of the arguments state a good reason why they think it a sport. She writes, “Strength, agility, and stamina: we’ve got all three.” Every other sport has this 10 times more than a marching band. She writes, “Marching band members get up early and stay up late.” Many other sport members do this as well, not just band members.
