God Saves
Would you come? Will I make it in time? These thoughts kept running through my head. Dear heavenly father thank you for my family, friends and a good life. Getting saved completely turned my life around. I took a three hundred and sixty degree turn.
For the past two summers I have wanted to get saved. I always thought that I was not ready. I finally thought it was time this past summer.
My heart was pounding like it had been tramped with elephants. My mind was racing with positive and negative thoughts. I didn’t know if it was time. Soon it all stopped. I heard a voice, “Would you come.” I opened my eyes to see that everyone’s eyes were closed. I thought it is time. “Why would I have such meaningful feelings?” As I looked out into the aisle it seemed like a mile long. I thought to myself, “What if I don’t make it?”
As I was about to take my first step, I whispered, “I’m going in my mother’s ear.”
When I was approaching the aisle I was still thinking about the way I felt. At last I made it.
The next thing I knew my mom’s soft, gentle hand is lying in the center of my back. I finally stood up and the first thing I noticed was the smile on my mother’s face. Everything was blacked out. As I watched her beautiful eyes shed tears, her smile grew wider and wider. Her smile was like the sun coming out on a rainy day.
Even though everyone else smiled, hers meant the most to me. As I watched the tears role down her face, I began to cry. By looking at her I knew that she was proud of me. Her smile said everything.
As soon as I turned around people popped out of nowhere and started to hug me. It seemed like I was hugging the whole world. After it was over I felt renewed.
I had different thoughts and feelings about things. My thoughts started to mean more to me. I thought deeper into my brain.
Getting saved made me a cleansed person. I don’t have to worry anymore about my sins. I know that when I get to heaven I won’t have to wait for the yes or no decision. I can march myself through the Pearly Gate and step on a street made of gold. I would not have to worry about harmful people to be there in heaven. I will always be safe standing side by side with my savior Jesus Christ.
As I look back I seem to act more mature and think deeper thoughts. To me now I see things clearer. I think of it as I was blind and know I can see.
