If living forever was possible, should death be kept?
Death is necessary. Death makes people value life. Value their loved ones. Value even the little things on a day-to-day basis. To take away death is to take away passion for life itself. You can argue that, if we never died, no one would have to mourn a death. While that may be true, we would not appreciate those closest to us if we knew time was not limited on earth.
If death was to be made impossible, as a society, we would be at a great deposition. On a more factual note, our earth would not be able to support the ridding of death.. We would have an exponential growth rate of population, a problem we are not equipped to handle. The absence of death causes economic and spatial ruin across the world, due to the fact that there is simply not enough space and supplies for this new generation of eternal consumers.
In many cultures, death is like the next stage of life. It is an essential part of a moral code. An opportunity for a new person to take your spot in society.
Ridding our planet of death, on a surface value, could be seen as good. A never-ending life. Continuous chances. But past that surface, the flaws reveal themselves.
