Adichi V.s Clinton
In today's day women have started to speak out more on how women are tired of being treated less than men and that they be treated the same and should be earning the same amount of money that men make, both speech talkers have expressed their personal experiences and women experiences, The one speaker that was more approached was Adichie’s claim cause the way she has explained on what she has experience that she has lived off since she was a little girl and from all the comments that she has received from her book, then later on her life she has understood what the comments meant about feminism and having to share her recent experiences makes her speech much more connecting to others.
Adichi has published her novel and her teacher advises her that, “people were saying my novel was feminism, shaking his head sadly as he spoke. I should never call myself a feminist since feminists are women who are happy and can’t find husbands.” But l she has responded to him that she called herself a happy feminist, to which later on she would rethink about what she said before and understand what her teacher was referring to. As Adichie got older and moved to the city, she experienced feminist activism that made no sense at first why.
Clinton speech is speaking about how women are being limited in the work field and expresses how women would be able to benefit the economics of our nation, a reference that Clinton has made was that, “The case for unlocking the potential of women and including them more fully in the economic life of our nations begins with the accounting of how women already are driving growth.” This shows that Clinton believes that by allowing more women to be more involved in the men's work field then their nation's economy would rocket up by a lot.
Adichi approach to gender equality was most effective because Adichi’s claim towards pro women equality she make a clear statement that gets the attention of the audience when she shares her life story moments while comparing to Clinton’s side she only give out data information which is important but it gets pretty boring for the audience and doesn’t really get to the main point until the very end in addition Clinton repeats her words a lot.
Overall the connection between the presenter and the audience the one that connects more is Adichi her vibe on telling the story of her experiences with gender equality and how she reflected by those moments and trying to improve as a person is what give Adichi an upper hand while also getting to the main point of her presentation, Clinton’s side is great as well but her presentation is very long and repeats herself when sharing out the data that she has which also makes her presentation a bit boring because she only gives out data information and not any real life experiences that she has been through which gives the win to Adichi with a better performance
