My Unfolding
My hair is a shade darker, and a little longer. More freckles have fallen upon my cheeks, and the callus on my middle finger has grown from a year of writing. I am an inch taller now and have gained a little weight; however, these observations are no comparison to what I feel inside.
My peers look different, but they do not act differently. I have become distant from the people I used to call friends, and I seem to socialize better with adults. Being an adult trapped inside a teenager's body is not ideal for the high school scene.
I have become an independent girl and would not have it any other way. Throughout my sophomore year I have watched myself transform into someone I never expected to be, but I am glad that is who I have become.
