The Fire that Remains in Me
The old generation, so full of wisdom are they?
Then why do they deny themselves an ice cream on a hot summer day
Why do they always chide an ambitious goal, or give that smug little smile that quells the fire power of the youth?
Why do they put so much energy into recanting the past, is the future so grim as they say?
Are these sentiments unique to me?
Is this my own experience torturing me so, let me think....
Nope, everyone who has made on mark on history had to overcome such a hurdle to obtain a better future.
