''Moms Great News!''
‘’Mom! I’m Home!’’ I yelled all excitedly. ‘’Hi Mama, How was your day at school?’’ My mom asked. ‘’It was good, how was your day mom?’’ I told her. ‘’It was good, I have some news to tell you though.’’ she said kinda shocked. ‘’ What is it mom?’’ I asked curiously. ‘’ I'm Pregnant.’’ she said with a big smile on her face. ‘’ Your lying Mom! I don’t believe you.’’ I said. She got up and showed me the pregnancy test to prove that it was actually all true. But she told me she was already 3 months pregnant and that she knew what gender the baby would be. But wouldn't tell me till my dad got home.
I didn't really believe my mom yet, because she would always say she was pregnant just to see what my reaction would be. I kept asking her if she was sure about what she had told me earlier, and as usual she would say yes I'm definitely pregnant this time! I kept wondering about the gender though, I was really curious about that part. Was it a boy or girl ?
Later On, My dad calls us and asked us if we knew about the pregnancy of my mom, We said yes but that we didn't really believe her yet. I told my dad to rush home because I was dying to find out about the baby. My dad said I’ll be home in 10 minutes guys! We waited & waited. We counted our fingers as in guessing ‘’ boy,girl,boy,girl,boy,girl...’’ 10 times.
‘’Ding Dong.’’ the doorbell rang. It was my dad of course, I ran to the door and opened the door, I told my dad to sit down and just wait for my mom to tell us if it was a girl or boy. My mom kept playing with us and said ‘’ It both as in twins!’’ But she was just joking around. Finally she took out the little post-it and read it out. ‘’It’s a G-I-R-L.’’ She said.
My dads’ face, brother, & I went totally different than my moms’. My mom had already said She didn't care if it was a boy or girl. No matter what she’ll be happy with what it was. But we did care at one point We all wanted a boy. I especially wanted to be the only girl but it didn't happen. I saw my mom got kinda mad that we weren’t happy that it was a girl, but after that I talked to my Dad & Brother and told them that we need to be supportive no matter what, It didn't really matter if it was a boy or girl. All that mattered was that it needs to be healthy and that's all that mattered to us.
Later on that day we were already thinking positively. Me & My brother already had names in mind. We were planning to name her after my grandma & great grandmother's’ name because they’re 2 very special people in our family. So we decided that we would. Her name would be ‘’ Maria Luisa Marie’’ and that's how we got her name.
After days passed, I had a feeling inside me that I kept thinking that my mom would stop caring about me when she was born, and I told my mom that. My mom said that would not happen because I was her 1st baby girl, & Yes she would take care of the baby more because she is going to be just a baby, And I’m already grown enough to take care of myself on my own.
Soon after all that naming her, my mom was ready to tell the family about her pregnancy. We gathered up just for it. We had dinner, talked, and had fun. After all that My Mom & Dad told the family that they were expecting a baby girl! They all said ‘’CONGRATULATIONS!!!’’ They started talking about my moms baby shower, and saying that they would help her if she needed anything. They planned it around July something, because they decided to plan it the same day as my moms birthday, July 20. That is really cute I Think in my opinion to have your birthday & baby shower at the same time. Your celebrating 2 very special things in your life.
I'm really happy for my mom, till this day. We all are, & we also try to be supportive, On her cranky days because I’ve noticed that the baby gives her a lot of kicking inside there and loves to move a lot. I love to go to my moms ultrasounds every once in awhile because it really cool how you get to hear the baby's’ heart beat. It touches me hearing my future baby sisters heart. And then you see her doing her own little exercise. It really cute when you go to the ultrasounds, It will be live once she's’ born!
I try to help my mom out with a lot of things she can't do on her own. Even though sometimes she wants me to do both parts ( Being mom to my brother, sister. ) It gets really tough to do both but I Have to do it in order for me to help my mom. I sometimes tell her to just relax and let me handle it, because my brother can be a pain and hard to control but I can handle him on my own. Even though he wants to whatever he wants but that isn't gonna happen while I'm handling him my self. No, not happening.
I love him to death and always will but he needs to understand he can help me by doing what I tell him to do.
But me & my brother & dad try to get through the good/bad days for my mom. We know she can be having her bad days with pain but we try & tell her she needs to stay positive too and help us out because we can’t just do it on our own. & I have seen her do her best when ‘’Maria Luisa Marie’’ tries and kicks her its part of the pregnancy though.
So till this day My moms pregnancy is really healthy. Shes is now 6 months. And getting through it till August 30 2013. And I will be helping her through it the whole time that's why I’m here and always will be. I hope to see my baby sister to be born! This pregnancy situation is really special to me because its my blood sister and its like saying a 2nd Stephanie. Even though at the beginning I was being rude about it. We have to realize it’s not about ‘’ Boy or Girl.’’ Its about it being healthy and born. As we wait till the day comes.
We expect her great & healthy when shes born, I will lead her into the right path as my little baby sister and teach her the good things. I hope to see my baby sis which is soon August 30, 2013. I Love her even though shes not here yet with us soon will be!
