Odd Jobs MAG
I never was able to save any money. I got $3.00 a week for allowance which I quickly spent on candy or magazines. Last winter a friend and I dropped off a pamphlet at houses in our neighborhood. It explained that we would shovel any size walk or driveway for a reasonable price. Suddenly we got four different customers. For an average snowfall, for all four houses, we were paid $40 each. I saved $200 that winter!
This summer I mowed lawns for $20 a lawn and earned almost $500! And yes, you guessed it, this fall I raked leaves, earning an average of $25 a yard.
The best part is that my customers will, I hope, continue to depend on me for years to come.
If you are looking for a little extra money to spend or save, I suggest you try yard work. As long as leaves keep dropping, snow keeps falling, and grass keeps growing, there will be money to earn! n
