Once Upon A Time
Once upon a time and a very good time it was a time full of laughter and fun and play. A time when my dear Froggy was not a toy but a friend and Mommy was the best friend of all.
She used to tell me stories and play with me and we used to laugh together but not anymore: she has a radar on her daughter.
Things were easier and simpler and we would dance and sing and play to the songs of the 90’s -- The Cranberries and Violent Femmes. They were always playing in our third floor apartment.
That’s where we poured chocolate syrup on the cat and rollerbladed inside and chased ferrets around the place. I thought I saw a ghost once. He was dancing in his pajamas.
My sister and I saw one of those at the fire truck playground once. Sure was spooky but we like to be spooked. Watch lots of those movies like the movie where the little girl died suddenly.
Kind of like my grandpa. We called him Mucoo. Couldn’t get the word Bunicu out.
He went fast. Didn’t have a chance to say good-bye. Goody-byes are a scary thing.
