I believe that Katie Banks-Todd should win Educator of the Year. She is the music teacher at El Dorado High School. She helps students get out of their shell, become more of oneself, and makes school an entertaining place to be in. She has helped me and many other students feel comfortable in their own skin. She has made a safe place where students come when they need to relax or feel stressed. She is a superb  role model and teacher, she shows to never give up on your dreams because you do not know how far it could take you. She helped me find my love for music, same goes for any other student. She is always there when a student needs her and is extremely caring for others. She is always lifting other students up, I believe that she has a humongous big heart. It is especially refreshing to have a teacher like her who treats her students as equals and respects what they have to say. She is also loved by parents, they love the work she puts into their kids in helping them grow. She is always pushing you to be the best you can be and pushing you to put your best foot forward. She puts her all into everything and pushes students to do the same. Lots of students look up to her and care for her. She is one of the kindest teachers we have at El Dorado. She has always been there for me and I know I can go to her when I need advice or someone to talk to.  This is why I think Katie Banks-Todd should be Educator of the Year.
