My nomination for the educator of the year would be my middles school teacher mr.leone at CMS. Out of all the teachers ive ever had since kindergarten, he is my favorite teacher. And I also think that he is one of the best people to go to if you want him to explain something to you and help you understand it. He actually cares about your education more than other teachers. He was very helpful in or out of school, he was a coach,mentor and a teacher.

One of the reasons he was my favorite teacher was because he was very laid back and a cool teacher but would keep his class in check at the same time. He made his class very fun by always making jokes about the other teachers and himself and keep the class in a good mood and laughing. He was very easy to relate to and actually showed his personality unlike some teachers who just strictly and boringly teach the class and move on. He was on a personal basis with everybody in his class and actually cared about you. And he is a football coach so we would talk about sports in his class.

He was also one of the reasons my math grade and science grade went up a lot since the year before. Math used to be my worst subject until I had his acceleration class and he was the only math teacher that ever made me understand how long division and functions worked. He related it to life and helped me until I fully knew how to do it. Also he made science fun to learn with the way he would explain things and the labs we did. He made students look forward to his class because he made school not seem so boring during his class.

The last reason I think he should be educator of the year is because he would try to keep kids out of trouble and everybody liked him. Since he got along with everybody pretty much everybody listened to him and because he didn’t like lying a lot more kids were straightup and honest with him. And everybody in his class usually had a positive attitude. For example, one time me and another student came late to his class and when he asked why I was straight up and said I was taking my time and talkin to other students and he told me to sit down. My friend said that he tried to be here on time and he was talking to a teacher,and lied and he got a detention.

In conclusion, im nominating him because he was a teacher, a coach and a mentor.
He was my favorite teacher for a lot of reasons. He was very well respected and liked by everybody because he was laid back and chill. He made class fun and he was very funny. And he is very good at explaining subjects to kids especially math and science. He helped my overall grades go from D’s to A’s and B’s.
