The Day I Got You
I remember this memory like it happened yesterday, I was sitting in the car with my dad listening to pop music when suddenly “RINGGGGG”, the phone went off. As I picked up the phone, I saw a text from my mom that said, “come to the old pumpkin farm, they are selling puppies”. I instantly told my dad and asked him if we could go. When I asked him, he said “sure, but don’t be all upset if you don’t get a dog. As we were driving up the big hill to get to the farm all I could here was “ROUGH ROUGH”. I got so excited when I saw the dogs, there were small dogs and big dogs.
When we parked and got out of the car, I asked my dad if we could walk around and he said “alright, but we need to go see your mom first”. As we were walking around, I saw this one dog that I instantly fell in love with, it was a female beagle with mostly brown fur, but it had some white splotches on it. She was a short dog that had stubby legs but that is what made her so cute. Once I laid my eyes on her I ran over to her, my dad had to run to keep up with me. I asked how much she was and the guy said I will give her to you for $150, it took about 2-3 hours to convince my mom and dad to get her, but in the end I did get her.
Once I got her in the car I started thinking about names and for some reason the first name to pop in my head was Molly. I ended up naming her Molly May, since her birthday was in May. Molly is still with me to this day; I have had her for about 5 or 6 years now and she is still as short as she was the day I got her. She is much larger around now but that because she is spoiled by everyone in town. She will forever be in my memories no matter what.
