My Name
When have you ever seen the name Keller as a first name?
Probably not very often.
The fact that I will never have my name called and it will be intended for someone else is disheartening. It has me torn between the pros and the cons. To never be like the majority. To always stick out like a sore thumb.
It’s a brunt, hard word that takes your entire mouth to pronounce, The Hard “K” sound radiates like a sonic boom from a distant blast. It’s a frightening name, like the color red, crimson, or ruby. It strikes fire into people’s eyes, but like the ruby, it also generates, the symbol of wealth and riches.
When people hear the name Keller, they perceive it as someone who is strong and powerful, “A force to be reckoned with.” The raw power of the name radiates to others. Makes the person look confident and intimidating. Like a Tiger or a Lion.
The name Keller is of German origin meaning cellar or basement. Historically it designates a winemaker. It is a very common last name. Not many other Kellers really stick out except Helen Keller.
I tend to focus on the negatives of what my name generates for my personality. But just like life, I need to take the negatives and turn them into positives. Be proud of what my name has done for me so far.
I am the riveting red ruby that strikes wealth and fire into people’s eyes. I am a force to be reckoned with, and when people hear my name they know I am different. And proud to be.
