The Best Day of My Life
The best day of my life hasn't happened yet, and I'm starting to doubt that it will. The best day will take place when I can't hear yelling through the walls, and when I don't feel alone anymore. The best day will be when I can smile the way I could when I was much younger and much more innocent, back when I could laugh and cry in the same hour and wouldn't think twice about it, and back when I didn't care what the world thought. The best day will be when I forget myself enough to see through the eyes of the ones I've hurt and the ones I love. That day will happen when I can finally ask her out without worrying about how my "friends" will perceive it. The best day of my life will be when I'm not who I am; when I'll be someone who so seamlessly lives life perfectly. Until that day I'll just have to settle for me.
