My Name
Born on April 26, 2003 as Hannah Elisabeth B. Sometimes I wish I was named something more to my liking, like Rachel or Emily. My first name means grace and that definitely does not describe me. I like to think my parents named me Hannah because of it’s meaning. The origins of my brother’s and my name are different; his is Irish and mine is German. His name starts with an E and mine starts with an H.
Over the years, I’ve developed a couple different nicknames from coaches and friends. Some include, ¨h-bevy¨ or ¨Hannah Bev¨, my brother has a similar nickname, “bevy.” I enjoy these nicknames because they aren't as embarrassing as some of the other ones that my family gave me, like “Hamster”. I know of a lot of other Hannah´s; ones with brown hair and brown eyes and ones with black hair and blue eyes. I’m the Hannah with blond hair and dark blue eyes. Hannah is a very common name, which makes me wish I were named something else.
