Worry about the now
In the future I hope people remember me for having fun in the moment. Me and my friends on a typical summer night would all be at one of our friends' houses using her hot tub. It was so relaxing, the warm water that gave you goosebumps down your body. The steam coming off the water into the cold, chilling air. This was our chill space. A place where we all could go to get away from the distractions in life. Parents, other annoying friends, problems we were in. All that drifted away as our group was with each other all night just having fun.
More often than not, my friends would start worrying about what we are doing after high school and if we will still talk to each other. We all know that we're not going to be as close after high school. There are really 3 options we can choose from: college, work, and army. Our group has so many different personalities that it is guaranteed everyone will go down different paths. We all know we're scared about it and most times they all try to make a plan to stay together.
To that I always tell them to shut up. We don’t need to worry about the future, harder things will come in the future, think about now instead of the future. So when the day comes that we do split apart, we can all look back and think to ourselves, I am really glad I spent that time with them.
