Math Homework

As I walk into her house I am greeted by her anxiously waiting to get her homework done. “Do you want to get it done now or do you want to eat first?” “I want to get it done now,” she says. I already knew the answer I just figured I’d give it a shot. We go upstairs and as I walk into her room I can already see she has everything out ready to get done. Out of all the homework I’ve done throughout high school math is probably my favorite because you know if you don't get the answer right you’re doing something wrong. She turns her Ipad on and the first problem has to do with parabolas and finding a vertex. “Opposite B over two A,” I think out loud. I start to set up the problem for her and she figures it out right away. Three problems later and the first assignment is done. We keep going and the work gets progressively harder but nothing we can't conquer with a quick google search or page through the notes. As we slowly work through the homework I can tell she is happy not just because her homework is getting done but also because I’m helping her with it. It makes me feel really good. After helping finish her math homework we went out to culvers and got burgers and custard. Overall helping her with homework helps my mental health and makes me feel accomplished. Not only that but I sometimes get custard out of it…
