Summer 2k23
Summer is amazing. Full of memories. Stress-free. No school. Sleeping in, well for most. This past summer my friend Ashely and I got a job at a golf course where we were part of the maintenance crew. This meant getting to work at 5:30 am and leaving at 2 pm. Though that may seem like a dread to some, I truly enjoyed it. I felt so accomplished working an 8-hour shift. I also had most of my day to myself for nap time and sunset watches. Work though is something I miss. The fun kind people who always showed up with a good attitude made it even better. The endless core memories created there are some I will never forget. Weeding and talking to friends, learning how to use new machines, getting stuck in bonkers, and getting delicious donuts made the job so memorable. Our boss was known as Bossman to my friend and I. We had known him for most of our lives and always called him Mr. Robel; it was weird for us to call him by his first name. By calling him Bossman, all of our coworkers know who we are talking about (no one knows his last name so when we say Mr. Robel they have no idea who we are talking about). Bossman was kind and always cared for us, he is amazing and what keeps me going to work every day. I cannot wait for another summer with this team.
