A Quilt of Words
I want something amazing to spill out of these fingers and onto this page, a quilt of words woven seamlessly together. I want it to warm a reader's soul and make them recall childhood memories of the time they went on a Sunday picnic with their grandmama and they nibbled on ham and cheese sandwiches as she talked about how she met grandpapa. I want to warm a cold heart by coloring images for them of a family building a first snowman in a backyard. I want to make you feel, to make you remember. But for now, my quilt has holes and needs to be patched in more than a few places, and I will have to settle for a smile or a nod and a cold heart.
