Confused Love
Stars blink in the night sky, i sit here all alone
Doors close in your face, you just dont seem to know
Cars race by on busy streets, i ask myself where would we be tonight
Dogs bark at your heels, you just cant seem to sell
I know how it is, but i wish it hadnt come to this.
We used to have everything we could ever want
Now i lay awake at night, trying to forget
We could of changed the world, but we are frozen in place
Now you sit in your chair, trying to sleep
And all i ever wanted was for us to be together
But now we arent, our love is tucked away in some old piece of history.
Salty tears fall from puffed up clouds, i understand your pain
Untouched fingerprints on the stairs, you remember what we did there
A letter opener on the desk, i remember all of it
Pressure on your part, you couldnt take it anymore
i know our love was confused, but i wish it didnt have to end.
We used to have everything we could ever want
Now i lay awake at night, trying to forget
We could of changed the world, but we are frozen in place
Now you sit in your chair, trying to sleep
And all i ever wanted was for us to be together
But now we arent, our love is tucked away in some old piece of history.
