The One Thing You Need to Learn.
The fact that a book ends has got to be the cruelst thing you will ever have to learn. And you'll have to keep learning it, re-learning the same thing over and over and over again, Like some sadistic water cycle. Because endings are the most important things you will ever learn. Everything ends and the ending will always tear you apart no matter how prepared you are for it. And maybe thats what books are really for, to teach us that things end.
And isnt that just a little cruel?
