To see the world in the grain of a sand and heaven in a wild flower. To hold infinity in the palm of the hand and eternity in an hour. - Stephen Marshak

Surely we are all aquinted with social networks.Facebook, Twitter, instagram, tublr, skype, snapchat etc. are now the most commonly used terms. Visiting a place - "Hey! Let's give a check-in on Facebook" , snapped an irrelevant photo - "Woo! Let's post it on Instagram" , want to constantly expose yourself - "Hey! wanna do snapchat?". We are all familiar with these terms. Yes, this is the era we are living in now. A giant prison without bars but holding us in through temptation. Most of the people will disagree with me. They will say it's all for our good, this has made communication much easier. Well, that's not the case according to me. Initially they were all just harmless things used to communicate and share photos to distant families and friends but now they have reached such a height that like a virus they have got hold of us and made us their host. Slowly draining us, our time, our interests, our creativity but we are unable to realize that. Once you think clearly you will realize. The countless hours that we are spending on social sites like Facebook doing nothing productive , if you are in a place, people now are much concerned about taking pictures and showing it off rather than enjoying the beauty, emotions are now cut down to binary of zeros and ones, wherever you go you are in chains now, the constant desire to check in on these social sites in every minute. You know I am right. You will also try to justify your deeds after reading this. But you know what I am saying is true. This is exactly what is happening in this generation. I am not saying all of us are like this but majority 2/3rd are living this reality. Before all of these people used to look up to the sky and searched the stars and wondered what were there and now we are constantly bowing our heads down. We are losing our ability to think, to work , we almost miss everything that's happening around us. Earlier families used to sit together, gossip, talk about everything , have fun and now that is a rare case. A constant battle going on in this prison to show each other how miserable the other's life is. And the weapons for this battle are status, texts, photos, likes and so on. It's a court where people are judged by their popularity rather than their quality, a parliament where people can say valiant words about taking the country or society to greatness but in real life the binary gets shifted to zero. Emotions, love and care are now expressed in zeros and ones. Yeah this is a suffocating bubble where we are all trapped. The worst kind of prison a human can be in. We have to come back to reality.
