A Walk Along the Mackinac Sand
I remember it like it like it was just the other day. It was the summer of '17, and my second year in a row visiting Mackinac City with my boyfriend.
The day was ending but the memories were just starting. Our fingers were interlocked as we walked along the beach. Seagulls flew above us in the bright yellow and orange filled sky as the sun set. The smell of the lake filled the air, and the sound waves rolling in filled the our ears; I was in complete bliss. My mind stayed quiet for once, no thoughts, no worries. this was the time to take a break; to be in the moment and to be at ease.
What made this moment so endearing is was that I was with the love of my life in my favorite place, soaking it all in.
The weekend came and went before we knew it but our memories will be with us always. Now, my only question i s when, when can we come back?

I was inspired by the beauty that sourrounded me, and hope that people get to stop and be in the moment.
