The Court
I've know the court
I've known the dribbling thumps of the ball, the feeling rushing through me.
My soul has been opened by my dad and he has shown me the meaning of a new day, a brand new day to do something amazing, unthinkable, unforgettable.
I bathed in the net, each and every swoosh cleansed out the bad, and washed in the good.
I built my life around the rectangle and the circle
I looked upon my dad's hands to guide the right way
I heard the singing of my family, cheering in the stands
I've known the court,
the beautiful, epic court
My soul has been taken over by a rectangle and a circle.
