Anytime people have a conversation about what the toughest sport, everyone always says football because of the injures or hockey because of the fights or hits but no one says wrestling.
Wrestling was one of the first sports in the first Olympics. There are three types of wrestling Greco-roman, freestyle, and folk style. Folk style is the type that is used in high school. Only freestyle and Greco-roman are used in the Olympics. In high school, in order to wrestle in a meet you have to make weight (cut weight), then wrestle-off your teammates for the spot to wrestle in a meet. In any other sport you are guaranteed 9 innings, or 4 quarters, or 3 periods; in wrestling your guaranteed nothing the match could end in 3 seconds. In one wrestling practice you could lose at much as 10 pounds. There are no water breaks in a wrestling match.
