Swoosh
“Swoosh I did it”
With the energy of a million hydrogen bombs running through my body, I charge down the court like a raging bull. The defenders part like the Red Sea; nobody attempts to challenge. I reach half court; there is no one within 10 feet. I see the shot clock running down “:05”, “:04.” I’m at the free throw line as the clock ticks again; I go in for a lay-up. Off the backboard and hugged by the rim, the ball sinks just before the buzzer sounds: I scored my first points ever.
