Pep Talk
The kid in this article has a huge heart. He stands up in front of his team when they are down and gives inspiration to keep pushing. In my eyes, it is easy for anyone to lead while things are going good, but only a person with true character can lead while things are going bad. Also, I think the kid has a huge heart because of how he approaches the game. He explains how when the game is on the line, he wants to be the person to take the game winning shot or put the team on his back. He forces himself to be mentally tuff and react with calmness in situations with great pressure. I think this kids character is perfect for leading because they lost that game. That game defines his character because he goes on to the next game with a positive attitude, a great determination, and yet the will to win; he stays positive and leads in a time of adversity.
