They Said
"It's just a sport that people do if they don't make the team for another sport," or "there's no cuts, anyone can make varsity," is what they said. Well I would like to see you run laps around the football field constantly in a timed manner when your shins feel like scorpions are clawing at them or hurdle when the wind is your worst enemy or even force your body to fly farther into the sandpit when you need that extra point for your team. You know what they also said, "It's not a team sport." For those people, I would like to invite you to a meet and show you that we are a 200 member family. It is a family who encourages like no other, pushes each other to the best of our ability, and work together to have fun and maybe with too. This sport, I say, is track.
