The Vineyard in the Sea
Summary:
In 1789, after the storming of the Bastille, peasantry men and women ransacked and tore apart manor homes of the nobility living in the countryside. The only basis for these acts of violence was a rumor that ignited fires across the country and resulted in the Great Fear.
The following story is based in fiction but has its roots in one of the first sinister acts of the French Revolution.
