A Good Dog
Summary:
In a run-down town in Mississippi, no one dares defy The Corn, and everyone holds their kids a little tighter as they pass by. When an ordinary dog slips into The Corn one night, everyone considers it as good as dead. That is-- until it comes back.
Told from the perspective of the brother of the boy who owns the dog, this harrowing Midwestern Gothic tale of suspense got me a perfect score on my language arts assignment. But be warned-- it's not exactly light reading.
