You miss 100 percent of the shots you don't take
As I ran by the newly painted shed, I saw what leadership, an elective at our school has been doing for the past few days. I saw the quote in bright white text, that said, “You miss 100 percent of the shots that you don’t take.” This made me think. First, I was distracted with the image associated with it, as it was a basketball going through the net. When I actually thought about it, the quote makes sense. If you aren’t “shooting” which represents trying or attempting, you aren’t going to go far in life, as you are never trying anything different. The more I thought about it, I realized how much sense it made. That idea, made me feel nervous, knowing I am the type of person that is shy and does not enjoy to try new things. The entire day, I thought about that specific quote. Still scares me to this day.
