Review Blitz - Red Dead Redemption 2
Red Dead Redemption 2 is a popular video game staged in the wild west around 1900. The game is centered around gangs, wilderness, and outlaws trying to make it to the top. Arthur is the main character and part of the gang Van der Linde. Red Dead Redemption 2 overall is a great game for its mechanics, graphics, performance, and above all its story line. It pulls you in and leaves you wanting more. The choices you make affect the rest of the game and determine your ending. My personal interest in this game sparked with its western theme, the game has a great atmosphere and npc format. The realism incorporated into the ecosystem allows for a vast number of experiences and entities for you to encounter. The mechanics of the game revolve around gunslinging, train robbing, advanced horse systems, hunting, and gang interactions. All of these pulled together create an experience all can enjoy. Out of these my personal favorite is hunting and the horse system, hunting for pelts and certain animals lets me enjoy the game for what it is and get out of the main story line for a break. The stat buffs from these pelts are all worth it in the end from saddles, to personal armor. The horse systems are equally as entertaining for their wide variety. There are 12 different breeds of horses included in the game from the wild and in stables for purchase. These breeds feature different stats and advantages for each different playstyle. Age for this game would be 16+ for its content and graphics.
