It's odd to see your whole life packed away in boxes. To see your walls, once filled with pictures, posters, and certificates, stripped down to just plain white paint. All of your possessions are shoved into boxes, as tightly packed as possible, and basically kidnapped, never to see the sun again until they reach a new, foreign place. As hard as it may be you say your goodbyes, some tearfully some happily. But for those people you truly care about you simply hug and say, "See you later...". All you can do as you and your emotions are packed into that old maroon truck, or that blue limited edition highlander is hope that your parents will follow through on their promise to visit. As you drive away from the place you call home you turn to watch it fade into the distance and try to continue imagining it as you remember when you are three thousand miles away. From time to time people there pass painfully through your head. You wonder if people there think about you and wonder if you're thinking of them. Or if you were so unimportant to them that they already forgot about you.
