Age Restrictions
Dear Teen Ink,
From what I have seen, your magazine is great! It offers lots of inspiration and support for young writers such as myself which I appreciate. However, I disagree with your age restrictions. I understand that the Teen Ink is directed towards young teenage writers, or just teenagers in general, but it seems to me that these articles apply to students from middle school to high school.
Many students have birthdays in November and are twelve but surrounded by thirteen year olds. They are going through the same problems, feeling the same pain. It doesn’t seem fair that they should not have the same access to Teen Ink as their classmates. It would make more sense to have grade restrictions, perhaps 7th grade through 12th? Please consider this, as it would benefit everyone.
