Writing About Writing

I really don’t like forced writing. Sometimes a brilliant idea will just pop into my head and I will try to put it onto paper or type about it. Brainstorming is a stupid thought to me. All I think of is food or strange topics like time travel, so I end up coming up with stories like this.

For some reason I like to write about fantasy or science fiction. I really don’t know why I like to write about it. The fact that I can completely create my story from scratch does help. Sometimes my story will start in a forest with strange little character waddling their way through the plot. Somehow my main antagonists link from the stories I’ve written before.

I really like to take ideas from other authors and twist and mix them to fit my taste. When brainstorming, all I can think of are ideas from books I’ve read or from movies I’ve watched because I rarely can come up with solid ideas myself. On occasion I can and will come up with really good ideas, but I can’t seem to write them down. When I have an idea, I plan it out in a film format which is no good in English class.

So I guess what I was trying to get at is that writing is sometimes difficult. I’m writing about writing. I don’t really know if this is a bad thing to resort to, but it was easier than I thought it would be. Hopefully I’ll get a better topic to write about next time.

I felt like I needed to write this.
