My Cat TC
Black and White with Green Eyes, Bright
And Black Pupils That Thin Out In the Light
That Widen When In Prey Mode
My Cat T.C Is the Best
Yes TC like Too Cute Unless
You Think Of It as The Cutest
Either Way She Be Fooling
Scratching, and Jumping On Stuff
Like A Wild Cat, Sometimes I Have To Tell Her Enough
Then She Goes Back Into Her Own World
My Little TC that’s My Home Girl.
Shawntia Kidd used A specific Rhyme as her device in this poem to give excitement and more depth to her connection with her cat. And to make it more interesting, she decided to add more detail about her cat and emphasis as in capital letters on most of her poem. She got deeper into the imagery of TC. The rhyme device Shawntia was approximate rhyme. She hopes her device was noticed and made the poem that much more interesting to read.
