The sun’s heat is blazing down. I squinted as a ray of light struck my eyes, and slowly sat down upon the warmed up bench. I completely closed my eyes as I took advantage of this moment to slow everything down in life. I wanted so much to drift away from reality, but ignoring the noise around me was impossible. I gave up with despair and opened up my eyes only to be greeted with a bigger glare of discomforting light and a layer of unwanted sweat under the wrong outfit. This depicts life perfectly; the inability to escape no matter how hard you try, and sometimes the attempt to escape only creates greater difficulties.
