Salty Hair
Crisp waves maneuver on top of me. It is a cold chilling sensation trickling down my spine; like ice. I grasp my board and paddle forward. The waves push me toward shore. My legs are numb so I clutch the warm sand in my left palm. I look back at the waves. They give me a melancholy feeling, knowing that it is just us two. I wade in the shallow water, twiddling seashells beneath my toes. I stand up, grab my board, and dive into the oncoming waves. Standing up, I carve along the glassy water. It is a sensational feeling after a long ride to shore. Going back in, I feel the salt fastening on to my hair. Once again, the feeling comes up, now accompanied with a smile on my face. As I walk to the car, my smile is prolonged… I guess you could say I shred the knar.
