Marijuana Needs to be Legal
About 30 million adults have smoked marijuana at least one time. 30% of people say that it help reduce pain with Cannabinoid compared with Placebo. The pain killers didn't works as well as marijuana did. Marijuana should be legal because it help with many condition, would reduce the criminal gang violence, and marijuana isn't a lethal drug.
Marijuana can help many people with many different condition. Marijuana can help stop and/or slow down cancer.(“Medical Marijuana: Legalities & Health Condition Uses”) Cancer is still a disease that doesn't have a cure. Cancer is a disease that spreads have rapidly. So if marijuana will help slow it down that mean that less people will die from cancer. what is so bad about people not dieing? Marijuana can help reduce nausea, loss of appetite and vomiting that comes with aid. (“Medical Marijuana: Legalities & Health Condition Uses”)Aid does not have a cure. So to make most of the symptoms go aways or decrease marijuana can help with that. Marijuana can also help with depression, anxiety, and obsession. (“Medical Marijuana: Legalities & Health Condition Uses”)Marijuana help elevate your mood cause people to be more happy and calmer. Alought marijuana help
with many condition, there's still the fact that it reduces criminal.
it would lower the gang violence. Overall crime was down 7% in Colorado post-legalization.(Joondeph) 7 % is a lot when there is a lot of violence. indiana has a lot of violence , why not try to stop it?property crime drop 11.4 percent after the first four month.(Ferner) less people would be breaking into house. because they don't have to deal with the high prices. Loan Grillo said “less people would be arrested for smuggling drug, so that would free up more jail cells for people that really need to be in jail.” (Paley)Murders could be in jail and we wouldn't have to take any more trees down to make room for the people who don't belong in jail. There is nothing wrong with less violence. Even with marijuana reducing gang violence there still that it's not a lethal drug
There’s alway the fact the marijuana is not a lethal drug. drinking alcohol is more deadly than using marijuana.(“Learn About Marijuana: Factsheets: Alcohol and Marijuana”)Drinking alcohol is more deadly but you can still do it as you please.Daiel J Denoon said “ There's no such thing as a fatal marijuana.”(“What Is the Lethal Dose of Marijuana?”)Marijuana isn’t fatal meaning it’s not deadly. So there’s no reason that it shoulden be legal. Daiel J Denoon said”only ? of 1% of people can get a deadly heart attack by marijuana.” (“Learn About Marijuana: Factsheets: Alcohol and Marijuana”) 16% of people get a deadly heart attack by alcohol. There are more people dying by alcohol than by marijuana. So what is the problem? So marijuana isn't deadly cause less criminal gang violence and help with people heath.
Many people may think that marijuana should not be legalized. They think that it being legalized will make it “ok” of there kids smoke it. If you don't want your kids to do it you shouldn't do it yourself. You should be a good role model to your kids. Because they wouldn't do something that you disprove of.Opponents also believe that if it's a drug that help you with illness you could have a doctor prescribe it to them. What about the people in poverty? They wouldn't be able to even afford going to the doctor at their high prices. So if they're sick they would be able to get help without losing a lot of money. Many people also say that marijuana is highly addictive. That isn't the truth really. Marijuana is the least addictive drug there is. Smoking cigarettes are more addictive than marijuana. Drinking alcohol is also more addictive than marijuana but smoking cigarettes and drinking alcohol are both legal. It’s not addictive it might be able to help with poverty and kids wouldn't do it if there parents wouldn't do it.
In conclusion, marijuana would help with illness,it would reduce gang violence and its not a lethal drug so you wouldn't die. I feel that in the near future that marijuana will be legalized. There are a lot of people that think that it needs to be. People will take a stand to fight for what's right.
