You let people treat you the way you let them

In honor of turning 18 this month, I decided to create a list of the things I have learned from the last 18 years that I have been on this planet.

1.If you disappoint people thats got nothing to do with you.

2.They set expectations of you, that may not have anything to do with your own.

3.Appreciate everything, people do for you. Even the smallest thing, as simple as someone handing you a napkin.
4.Go after YOUR dreams. For the longest time in my life I went after others dreams, until I realized I had to go after my own.

5.Happiness depends on yourself and no one else. It´s a constant thing, you put daily effort into.

6.Sleep as much as you can, even if you only have an hour to do so. Were constantly working and our bodies need rest.

7.Dont compare yourself to others, its a horrible toxin.
Put 110% of yourself into your relationships, if you're not met halfway, quit.

8.If you can't see yourself potentially marrying them or them you, don't waste yours and their time.

9.Invest time and money on yourself, it doesn't have to be a lot, but its a necessary thing

10.Learn a little about everything.

11. Pick up various hobbies.

12.What people think of you, is none of your business

13.Put your phone DOWN. When you're out with friends, family, when you don't HAVE to be on it.

14.You can have your cake and eat it too. You just have to be patient.

15.Just because you're young doesn't mean you don't know things

16.Stop looking for excuses to be sad and miserable. You have more than enough reasons to be happy

17.Help others the way they have helped you

18. When you truely love someone, its until the world ends. Even if you love someone new. That love doesn't go away, it just lessens.

Belated happy birthday! And thanks for writing this, I remember doing something similar a while back, so this was fun to read.
