Dear Basketball
Dear Basketball
You have given me so many opportunities since I started playing. I have benefited from so many different things throughout my life. You make me feel like my life is full and complete. You help me gain the athletic ability, meet new people, be competitive, and enjoy it while all of this is going on. You are what I want to continue playing throughout my whole life even when I don’t go pro. I will be at the court, playing, every day. It all started with a single orange ball. It was a bright orange ball, smooth to the touch, multiple black lines crossing through. Making a thumping sound when it hits the court, a swoosh sound when it goes through the net. Then there was a yellow and purple jersey. It held the number 8, smooth thread holding it together. It said Bryant on the back and Lakers on the front. All and all, dribbling the ball, shooting baskets, hitting threes, basketball is way more than just a sport to me.
